 Since 1989 River Watch has involved over 60,000 individuals in Colorado.
- River Watch collects more stream data than any other entity in Colorado.
- River Watch provides an online database for over 3,000 stations covering over 300 rivers.
- River Watch helped obtain outstanding waters protection (when the water quality is BETTER than standards) for several streams such as Severy Gulch, outside of Colorado Springs.
- River Watch volunteers analyze samples for hardness, alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, pH and temperature. Additional samples are analyzed by a professional lab for 11 metals, 7 nutrients and macroinvertebrates.
