The Senior Water Project Mitigation Coordinator (Mitigation Coordinator) serves as the lead coordinator and technical authority for CPW’s engagement on federally permitted water projects under Colorado’s Water Project Mitigation Statute (C.R.S. 37-60-122.2). This critical position ensures that the needs of fish, wildlife, and habitat are fully considered during major water project planning, permitting, and mitigation negotiations. This position leads the work of the Water Project Mitigation staff to ensure consistency across projects and workload balance. This position serves as the state’s expert and leading authority on water project permitting and provides expertise to other state agencies where appropriate. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a motivated professional who thrives at the intersection of science, policy, and collaboration. Little Thompson Water District is seeking a Water Resources Manager. This position will perform water resources tasks such as planning, organizing and directing a variety of water resources activities including securing and maintaining water supplies of quality and quantity sufficient to meet the District’s needs.
