On January 13, 2026, the EPA announced a proposed rule to revise the existing Section 401 water quality certification regulations. Once the proposed rule is posted in the Federal Register, EPA will accept public comments on the proposed rule. Comments on the notice should be identified by Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OW-2025-2929 and may be submitted online. Go to https://www.regulations.gov and follow online instructions for submitting comments to the docket. The proposed rule is open for a 30-day public comment period that closes on February 17, 2026. The MRT is looking to fill a voting At-Large Seat. The MRT membership generally meets once a month, the second Thursday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in a hybrid format both virtual and live at the Denver Water campus in Denver. Meetings generally adjourn around 4:00 p.m. In addition to the regular monthly meeting of the full membership, members are encouraged to be part of standing or temporary committees.
